THROW BACK THURSDAY - THE BOYLE BUILDING

PLUS CLASS NEWS

I'm sure you all remember the BOYLE BUILDING at Fifth and Main Streets, the hub of downtown Little Rock.

I'll bet many of you worked there at one time or another. I know I did when I worked for Dan Eichenbaum's

Uncle at Eichenbaum, Scott and Miller at the ripe old age of 22. The Boyle Building has 12 stories, 91,000

square-feet, and was built in 1909 by architect George Richard Mann who also designed the Arkansas State

Capitol.  Even in photos from the early 1900's this beautiful building stood out and all these years later it still

does.

Arkansas Attorney General Tim Griffin, who says as a cost savings move for the state, purchased the building,

renovated it and renamed it the Bob R. Brooks Jr Justice Building.  Brooks was a former Chief Deputy Attorney

General of Arkansas who passed away unexpectedly in February.  However, it will ALWAYS be the Boyle Building

to me!

1956 CLASS NEWS

I consider it a good week when no one has emailed me that they are in the hospital, that they

just heard about a death in our Class or that their marital status was changing - no matter in

which direction.  Now if it was the latter, believe me, that would be in call CAPS!!!

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY to all your guys!!!!

Hope I'm going to see some of you locals at TIGERFEST TONIGHT!  We're looking for a big crowd!

The guys at the golf course asked me to name an actress I would like to be

stuck in an elevator with.   I told them the one who knows how to fix elevators.

. . . I'm old, I'm tired and I have to pee a lot.
