THROW BACK THURSDAY - RIDING HORSE IN BOYLE PARK OR HAVING YOU PICTURE TAKEN AT HOME PLUS CLASS NEWS

This is a picture of Jimmy Martin's sister, Mary, riding a pony in Boyle Park named Nelly.  I bet most of you had a picture taken while on a pony probably in your own backyard.

I remember when Fair Park was the turn-around for the old streetcars.

Really miss those good old days.

I remember the corn dogs and the hugh syringe of mustard.  I actually got one, smaller though, to use.

My future kin ran the pool.

Marcella:  You mean Ms. Lois Grimmett was a relative of your husbands????  I never knew that!

Speaking of Billy Kramer he was an absolute workout nut, continually exercising, and staying in shape.

He had an insatiable enthusiasm for exercise which he spread to everyone around him.

His wife was the cafeteria Director at Pulaski Heights when I was there and was very nice. She was

known to give extra treats or special dishes on a moment’s notice as a surprise.

Gene Barnett:  Let me know if you received this week's Throw Back Thursday, please!

Oh for those days at Fair Park swimming and diving.  Those were the days.  Cokes and Jackson Oatmeal Cookies!

Our generation is truly a unique group.  Those days are great memories.

As summer rolls around I always think of Fair Park Pool that was a place of employment for me and a gathering point for many of us.  Under the direction of LeRoy Scott and Lois Grimmett the crystal clear water was inviting to near 3600  people on some days. The people employed there were one big happy family.

While visiting my granddaughter who has gifted us with a beautiful great-granddaughter, age 8, I slept in her room.

This TO DO sign was by her bed.  Each morning I thought, now that is exactly what I need to do each day!

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND WATCHING THE OLYMPICS!!!!!
