Our condolences to Edwina Keith in the death of her sister, Lila Riggs.  Services will be December 13.

Dr. Doug Smith has recently had a couple of eye operations and his wife, Jane Ann, has had hip replacement

surgery.  Fortunately they are up and about already.

Great picture of the ladies....Happy that you-all managed a holiday get together.

Is James Hefley still in the Houston Area??     NO, LYNDA, HE LIVES IN ASHVILLE, NC.

Hope all is well with you (ML)....sending wishes for a Merry Christmas to all....

I did have a nice visit with Delrena...She has a lovely apartment at an independent living facility.

After the holidays I hope to try for a lunch with the LRCHS'56 folks.

With love and prayer for all......Lynda Dixon Abney

ML - great article on the Jackson Cookie Company - brings back fond memories. My uncle, Fenton Donaldson,

managed the Jackson Cookie Plant in the ‘50s and ‘60s. His wife, my aunt Mary, and his daughter, Gail (Donaldson)

Zanoff (my cousin), made a delicious Jackson vanilla wafer fruit cake. Gail, who lives in Fairfield Bay (adjacent to

Greers Ferry lake), may still have the receipe. It was a favorite holiday tradition for the Donaldsons and Fredericks.

What a wonderful photo! And what a fine tribute to Jimmy Hefley. Gee whiz!

Merry Christmas!

Love, Delrena

Gwen Shepherd and Scott Minton were attending his granddaughter's wedding.  I'd say they are having a ball!

Wouldn't you?

I collected soda bottles and coat hangers during the war years for a penny or 2 for the local cleaner or grocery store.

I was then able to buy a Jackson Oat Meal cookie for a penny in the school cafeteria after lunch. My favorite.
