THROW BACK THURSDAY - VARIETY STORES  PLUS CLASS NEWS

We all had our favorite variety store.  I assume your favorite one was the one in your neighborhood.  We could actually

go in and pick out whatever we wanted.  I can still smell See's Variety Store on 13th Street, one-half block from Lee

Elementary.  I loved bubble gum.  That was always my first choice.  I know children today would laugh at our variety

stores, but they really don 't know what they are missing.  Then after See's, we would go to Aday's Drug Store, on the

corner directly across from Lee School and the Lee Theatre, and have a cherry phosphate or a limeaide.  Wonderful

memories!

I'm guessing not many of you read last week's TBT.  I asked for your favorite dancing song "back in the day".

Only one from each Class had a favorite song.  Surely that is not right.  Come on, let me hear it!!!!!

I think something might have possibly slowed Mooser down for a minute, but he lets nothing get him down!

"As always, thanks for your "Throw Back" post.  Recovering from reverse shoulder surgery, now in my 5th week post-surgery, but Nancy and I are now

already back by two weeks cycling on our recumbent trikes.  Since 2nd week of post-surgery, I've been doing 1.8-mile stride walks aimed at keeping

circulation up for clearing out all the pharma "poisoning" prescribed for procedure and recovery.  The pharma bombardment experienced as more

consequential than the surgery, took me nearly two weeks after discontinuing them to recover normative sleep patterns.  Overall, for physical pain

and discomfort this has been the worst of my life, and that includes having had frost bite with loss of tissue back in 1965."

Earth Angel by the Penguins.

Played it so many times over and over at Linda Bennett's house across the street from school I thought

the record  would break or Helen, her older sister, would break it over my head.
