THROW BACK THURSDAY - LRCHS COLLEGE REPORT

PLUS CLASS NEWS

Attached is an astonishing report on the students at our Alma Mater, Little Rock Central High School, who will be

attending college in the Fall.   Enjoy reading this report from Principal Nancy Rousseau.  Another wonderful statistic:
77% of the students who started at Central in the Ninth Grade graduated last May.  Find another high school with

a statistic that comes anywhere close to ours!

1956 CLASS NEWS

Our sympathy to Gwinda Sue Bell Penn in the death of her sister, Linda Lou Bell, who passed away December 4, 2018.

Dewana Price Green had a hip replacement on August 30 and is doing fine.  Many of you know what she has gone through!

I am again working on an article about Warner St. John.  I am looking for any personal stories you might have concerning Warner.

Hopefully the article we end up with will be published in the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette.

MARY LOU,  THANKS FOR YOUR THURSDAY THROW BACK NEWS.  IT MEANS A LOT TO ME TO READ ABOUT OUR CLASSMATES

AND ALL THE NEWS.  I REALLY APPRECIATE HOW YOU KEEP UP WITH ALL OF US. "BUSY PEOPLE GET THINGS DONE!"

A DC friend of mine who has a friend living in Little Rock has asked for my help.  To all of you who live in the Metropolitan Little Rock area, please

read this and pass it along to your friends.  Here's hoping this lady will find her family treasures.  I can understand how this can easily happen.

Friends!! I’ve made a terrible mistake and am appealing to all you eagle-eyed shoppers for help. I inadvertently gave a box

of truly dear family treasures to Goodwill. By the time I realized it, at least one set of dishes had been sold from the west

Cantrell location. I know the box had my mother’s gold band wedding china dinner plates and the ornate gold plates. It

also had around 25 open serving dishes of all sizes like the pictured coffee set. Each of those pieces were signed with my

great grandmother’s initials: M.S.G and the date, as shown. Also in the box was a red and cream pattered cloth bag with my

father and grandfather’s WWI and WWII insignia and metals. And so much more I haven’t yet discovered. I will gladly buy

anything located. If you see or hear of any of these beloved items, please message me or text if you have my cell.

Please share this post, and thanks. Mary Bea Gross

If any of you do locate any of her items, please let me know and I will contact Mary Bea.
